Your mission

As a Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of client accounts with a strong focus on client service, assignment delivery, and the development of junior staff through coaching and mentorship.

You will have the following responsibilities:

  • Managing a portfolio of clients
  • Planning and reviewing of assignments
  • Completion and analytical review
  • Peer review and quality control
  • Supervision of work of more junior staff including briefing, guiding, review and feedback
  • Managing / coordinating assignments
  • Entire engagement responsibility
  • Setting of assignment budgets and planning staffing
  • Monitoring of deadlines and compliance
  • Managing relationship with clients, including agreeing of timescales and deadlines, managing fees and billing, first port of contact for clients, running client meetings
  • Participate in compliance and regulatory administration

We believe that supportive teamwork is the key to our success. You will form solid relationships across all aspects of your work, including with:

  • Client Directors
  • Client Managers across the firm
  • Trainees working within the accounts preparation and tax teams
  • Client contacts
  • Introducers of the business and other professionals (e.g. financial advisers / pension advisers)
What you'll bring to the team

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • ACA or ACCA qualified essential, with a minimum of two years PQE
  • An organised approach to your work.
  • Strong coaching and delegation skills
  • Strong commercial focus
  • Clear and confident communication with clients and junior staff, able to impart complex technical points in an understandable way for less experienced individuals or non-audit specialists.
  • Work in a supportive, caring and collaborative way with colleagues at all levels. React positively to requests for support from colleagues and be proactive in offering assistance, when required.
  • Enthusiasm and a commitment to continuous learning and self-improvement
